Seven of our students from Secondary 3 to 5 performed their spoken word poems at the annual Speak Up competition held at Marymount Academy. Together with their English teachers, our students had the opportunity to not only perform their poems and share their stories, but were also introduced to a community of writers and poets who proved the importance and the impact that our words can have on our world if we continue to SPEAK UP.
