NSA Grade 7 and 8 students participated in the Quebec Carnival, this event celebrates winter to the fullest. The main venue for the Quebec Carnival is the fairgrounds on the historic Plains of Abraham. The fairgrounds for the Quebec Carnival are like a winter amusement park, where the students had lots of things to do and they visited the popular ice castle attraction.

Since Old Quebec is just a short walk from the fairgrounds, the NSA students took the opportunity to explore this historic city where the architecture dates back centuries, and Québec's old town is one of the few walled cities in North America.

Also, on the itinerary was visiting the ice hotel at Village Valcartier and some shopping and rides at Les Galleries de la Capitale and the Mega Park.
