A certificate of eligibility for English instruction is not required to attend North Star Academy Laval. In the province of Québec, access to English schooling is regulated by the Charter of the French Language, which mandates that government-funded English schools may only enroll students with a certificate of eligibility. However, since North Star Academy Laval is a private institution that does not receive government grants, this requirement does not apply. Students can attend the school without an eligibility certificate.

Submit an Inquiry – Before applying, all families must first complete an inquiry form. Once submitted, our Admissions Team will process your request and send you an email invitation to create your Blackbaud ID.
Apply Through Your Portal – Once your Blackbaud account is set up, you will gain access to your personalized Admissions Portal, where you can:

At North Star Academy we feel that the traditional entrance exam offers a limited perspective in evaluating a student’s capabilities. Instead, we take a holistic approach which includes evaluating previous report cards, past assessments, and, when necessary, an interview. Our admissions process values not only academic achievement but also a student's aspirations, passions, motivation, and character—ensuring a well-rounded evaluation of each applicant

On Thursday September 13th, NSAL is hosting its annual Orientation Night. This important night gives parents an opportunity to meet their child's teachers, see what the curriculum will be for the year and learn about whats new and upcoming for the school year. This year, this evening will feature time to circulate and get to know the teachers, a Head of School address, Principal Information Session and an overview of this years use of technology from out IT department. Following the orientation portion of the evening is this academic year's first School Committee meeting. Come and join us for this informative evening.
