Polar Bear Walk

Every year polar bears in Hudson Bay walk up to 5,000 kilometres across Arctic sea ice in search for food to raise their cubs. But the sea ice on which they depend is changing, and in some cases disappearing altogether. North Star Academy and thousands of other students, families and communities have taken part across the country in a special event to raise awareness about climate change and the impact it is having on these animals.

North Star Academy is proud to help the World Wildlife Fund Canada, in symbolically walking alongside the polar bears on International Polar Bear Day. Together we are making a difference for the future of polar bears.
