Parent Community Network


Mission Statement

North Star Academy Laval’s Parent Community Network is comprised of parents and staff members who are committed to contributing to the school’s mission in helping the students achieve their greatest potential.  Our primary objectives include fundraising initiatives, collaborative planning for school events such as the Polaris Recognition Gala and enhancing the public image of the school. Members of the PCN can share their own expertise, ideas and connections. Just imagine how much we can do for the school! We can make it happen! It has long been acknowledged that parents’ participation in the education of their children is a key factor in improving their chances of success. We know that you care deeply about your child’s education and school life; therefore, committing a portion of your time helps enrich your child’s school experience. We hope to see you.

Here is a list of ways you can contribute to the Parent Community Network:

  • Volunteer at the Open House as a parent representative.
  • Volunteer in the organization of Teacher Appreciation Week.
  • Sponsor a table, help with the raffles or donate items for the silent auction at the Polaris Recognition Gala.
  • Share your sector expertise. Become a guest speaker, or host a workshop at our school.
  • Invite students to your workplace for an industry shadowing opportunity.
