Tania Issid

Ms. Issid received her undergraduate degree from Concordia University in Specialization Physics and did her Master’s degree in Teaching and Learning at McGill University.

Over the past 19 years, she has taught Grades 7 to 11 Math, Science and Technology as well as Physics and Chemistry. In addition, she took on the role of a valuable mentor in the international Baccalaureate program.

Ms. Issid has a proven track record of increasing student performance in math as well as in science. She has a great passion for teaching; she is responsible for leading innovative and exciting projects for learning. Ms. Issid uses creativity and lessons that foster students’ cooperative learning experiences, both inside and outside of her classroom. As for instructional strategies, Ms. Issid focuses on a student-centered learning approach where students are allowed to share and make decisions about what they would like to explore; she plans lessons that foster inclusion and diversity in the classroom; her lessons are enriching to students’ confidence in believing in their capacity to lead and learn.
